Here’s a taster of one of our main presenters, Jane Beach. Jane’s heart-based simple wisdom really speaks to me. Apparently, it speaks to many others as well – her book Choices was named as one of the 2014 Amazon Editors’ Favourite Books of the Year!
I don’t know about you but I need a reminder now and then about how sweet life really is – if I let it. Jane can take me there. She lives life in trust and joy. Her writing is fully from the heart. Jane recently experienced her mother’s passing. Her posts continued through that time and her grace in this experience of grief was truly inspiring.
I have gathered a few snippets of her wisdom for you. Enjoy!
Dream Your Dreams
“You may have a dream that others around you can’t see. Watching you take a chance frightens them, so they try to pull you back. Don’t let it stop you! Keep watering the dream-seed that’s alive in your heart. The universe will help you grow it. You have nothing to prove to anyone except yourself, and believing in yourself is everything!”
“Letting go of even a tiny bit of resentment creates space for a whole lot of joy and inner peace. Joy and peace are who we are as spiritual beings. Resentment is a human thing. It clogs the wheel of the joy and peace that are meant to flow throughout every human experience. Letting go of a little bit of resentment at a time allows the goodness of life to flow again.”
Embrace Your Authenticity
“There were times when I built a protective wall around an old pain so that I could get on with my life. Eventually that wall kept me from being the person I wanted to be. The Authentic Me couldn’t show up because the hurt me was hiding behind that wall. Finally, I became secure enough in myself to let the wall crumble. What a relief to show up and be seen!”
Feel Your Feelings
“By giving ourselves the time to grieve any kind of loss, we create a space for our feelings to be felt. Although it’s tempting to stay busy to avoid the pain, it only pushes it below the surface where it’s liable to pop up later in very uncomfortable ways. We’re worth the time it takes right now to notice, appreciate and soothe the parts of us that are hurting.”
Step into the Light of Today
“I may never get the apology I seek. Focusing on anger and resentment carries my bitterness from the past into today, attracting more situations in which to feel victimized without apologies. I am not my history! In my mind and heart I can accept the apology I never got. I can then put the darkness of the experience behind me and step fully into the light of today. “
We Are One
“When I pour my morning coffee, I sometimes think about all the others who are pouring their morning coffee—those who are celebrating and those in despair, those in happy relationships and the many who are lonely, those who’re afraid and others walking through their fear. Then I realize I’m all of them. In my heart there is no them and me—we are one.”
